The primary benefit of being an independent tobacconist is customer responsiveness.
We’ve been open for two months now, and our humidor is finally filling up. Rocky Patel, Oliva, and Espinosa trusted in the vision we had for Nice Ash while it was still a construction zone. Thanks to them, we were able to have quality products on our shelves in time for the second weekend of Bike Week. In fact, we hope to announce our first cigar event with one of these providers in the very near future!
Over the last two months, I’ve done my best to ask each of you what you would like to see in our humidor. The space I originally left empty is now filling up with the Arturo Fuentes, Padron, Perdomo, ACID and Tabaks that you’ve requested.
This week, we’re adding more Fuentes and Padron along with the orange label, Nicaraguan Camachos. However, I’m most excited about two highly rated cigars we are bringing in at customers’ requests; My Father “Opulencia” and, “The Tabernacle.” I’ve not tried either of these but, after listening to our customers and doing a little research, it turns out that you all have fantastic palates!
My Fathers, “Opulencia” was the number 2 rated cigar in Cigar Aficionado for 2018.
Meanwhile, Foundation Cigar‘s, “The Tabernacle” was the initial product offered by Nicholas Melillo, the former head of production at Drew Estate and the gentleman responsible for the Liga Privada #9. He is a true master of Connecticut broadleaf, and “The Tabernacle” is his way of showing love towards our little slice of tobacco heaven, here in the states. I’m also looking forward to The Tabernacle Havana seed, which is wrapped in Havana seed wrapper, also grown in Connecticut.
We’ll have all of the new stuff in the humidor later this week as well as a new section in the humidor with more budget friendly cigars. Come to downtown Sandusky, and join us for one of these world-class cigars, and as always, if there’s something you’d like to see on our shelves, JUST ASK.
