Liga Privada #9

As most of you know, I make a point of asking our customers, “What would you like to see on the shelves of our walk-in humidor?” One of the most consistent responses has been, “Liga Privada.”

The Liga Privada is the highest end of the Drew Estate line. The name translates to, “private blend.” Indeed, this cigar was blended by the former president of Drew Estate, Steve Saka for his personal enjoyment combining a super dark, Connecticut broadleaf wrapper with a Brazilian Mata Fina binder and Nicaraguan filler. The tobaccos for this cigar are tough to come by and it has only been made available to Drew Estate’s largest retail accounts.

These cigars really are quite exclusive. Until now, the closest we’ve been able to come are the Tabernacle cigars by the Foundation, which Steve Saka went on to form after leaving Drew Estate. The Tabernacle shares many of the same characteristics as the Liga Privada but the tobacco does not come from the Drew Estate fields or resources.

Fortunately, the growth of my relationship with some of the independent distributors has put me in a position to bring in the real deal. Come join us this week for a Liga Privada #9 and your favorite DORA cocktail from our local downtown bars.

Finally, don’t forget to join us at Nice Ash in downtown Sandusky on Thursday, September 22nd for our Rocky Patel night and Plum Brook Country Club raffle. Every purchase gets a ticket from now through the night of the drawing.
